Hallo,
Ich heiße Olivier Colin, bin ein Fotograf aus Frankreich und wohne seit zweieinhalb Jahren in Leipzig. Hier lebte ich schon 2004 für einige Zeit und habe daher beobachtet, was sich verändert hat.
Seit zwei Jahren arbeite ich konkret an meinem spannenden Fotoprojekt mit dem Namen: "Leipzig, Wir sind Deine Kinder". Darin will ich den sozialen und kulturellen Wandel Leipzigs darstellen aber auch die internationale Diversität, die Landschaft, Architektur, das Miteinander der Generationen und den Alltag zum Vorschein bringen.
Der Begriff, der den Motor meines Projektes definiert, ist die Wurzel. Wir alle suchen unsere Wurzeln, wer und wo wir auch sind. Wir alle streben danach, Wurzeln zu schlagen. Wir alle sind die Protagonisten der Stadt, ihre kreativen Kinder, die ihre Kultur ausmachen und tragen - die die Wurzeln der Stadt bilden.
Und was ist das Projektziel?
Ich wünsche, die Stadt Leipzig durch einen dokumentarischen und künstlerischen Blickpunkt zu fördern und eine moderne Betrachtungsweise einer Stadt mitten in Umwandlung zu ermöglichen.
All das will ich in einem Fotoband abbilden. Der Bildband (22 x 25 cm) wird ungefähr 150 Seiten umfassen und etwa 130 Fotografien enthalten. Diese werden von mehreren Texten zu verschiedenen Aspekten der Stadt begleitet. Sie informieren über Leipziger Themen wie Industriegeschichte, Kunst und Kultur, aber auch über den Wandel von spezifischen Orten wie dem Augustusplatz.
Für diese arbeite ich mit Tobias Prüwer, einem Leipziger Autor und lokalen Kulturjournalisten zusammen. Die Texte werden in Deutsch, Englisch und Französisch erscheinen.
Im März 2014 war ich auf der Leipziger Buchmesse unterwegs und habe dort mit dem „Mitteldeutchen Verlag“ gesprochen, welcher überzeugt von meiner Idee ist. Sie sind bereit, einen Teil des Projekts zu bezahlen und die Nebenkosten (Scan von Negativen, Umbruch, Ausgabe, Produktion, Beförderung in die Buchhandlungen). Den anderen Teil trage ich und hoffe dabei auf Eure Unterstützung! An der rechten Seite könnt Ihr Gegenleistungen dafür sehen.
Das passiert bei erfolgreichem Crowdfunding:
- Das Buch wird im Frühjahr 2015 produziert sein. Der Verlag braucht ungefähr 2 Monate zur Vollendung des Buches.
- Die Postkarten und die gedruckten Bilder werden spätestens Anfang Januar 2015 fertig sein.
Was bekommst Du als Unterstützer/ Unterstützerin?
Du hast die Auswahl: ein Bildschirmhintergrund, ein Zehner-Postkarten-Set, selbstverständlich der Bildband, gedruckte Fotografien (in verschiedenen Formaten) und hochwertig gerahmte Bilder. Du entscheidest, mit welcher Summe Du mein Projekt unterstützen willst.

My name is Olivier Colin, I am a french photographer, I live for two years and a half in Leipzig, city in East Germany.
It has been two years that I'm working on a photo project called “Leipzig, Wir sind Deine Kinder”, which means “Leipzig, We are your Children”. Through this project I present the aspects of the social and cultural diversity, and also urban and natural spaces, the closeness of the generations and the everyday life of the inhabitants.
The motor which defines most of my project, is the Roots. We all need to tie up and to integrate our roots wherever whom we are, whoever we are.
Goal of my Project
I would like to edit a photography book. I met a publishing house in Mars 2014, which is interested in and ready to produce the book. They are paying a part for the publishing fees of the book and the beside costs (scan of the negative films, pagination, production, relation with libraries) and I have to support the other fees.. You can find them on the right side!
The book will be 22x25 cm, around 150 pages with 130 photographies. Texts will accompany some pictures about various subjects related to the city, such as the history of its industry, its artistic references, or the Augustus place. Tobias Prüwer, an author and local journalist will write the texts, those will be in german, english and french.
If the Crowdfunding does run well:
- Regarding the needed preparation and organization time, the book will be produce during the 1st Trimester 2015.
- Postcards and photos will be printed in December 2014, it may take until January 2015 for shipping.
What do I get as a supporter?
You can choose between: a 10 postcards set, the book signed by the artist, or a printed picture (in several sizes), or a high finish framed photography.
You choose the sum you want to support my project with.

«Leipzig, Wir sind Deine Kinder» à traduire par: «Leipzig, nous sommes tes enfants», est un projet photo que j’ai initié depuis deux ans,. L’objectif est de mettre en lumière les aspects de la diversité sociale et culturelle de la ville, mais aussi les espaces urbains et naturels, le côtoiement des générations et la quotidienneté de ses habitants.
Le moteur qui définie au mieux mon projet est les Racines. Nous avons tous besoin de nouer et d'intégrer nos racines où que l'on soit, qui que l'on soit.
Quel est le but de mon Projet?
Je souhaite réaliser un livre photographique sur Leipzig. J'ai rencontré une maison d'édition en mars 2014 qui est intéressée à produire le livre, en prenant en charge une partie des frais de réalisation et les coûts annexes (scan des négatifs, mise en page, édition, production, promotion en librairie). L'autre part des frais restant sont à ma charge.. ils sont inscrits à droite!
La dimension du livre sera de 22x25 cm et comptera environ 150 pages avec prés de 130 photographies. Des textes accompagneront certaines photographies sur différents thèmes propre à la ville, comme l'histoire de son l'industrie, ses références artistiques, ou encore la place Augustus.
Je collabore pour ces textes avec un auteur et journaliste local, Tobias Prüwer. Les textes seront écris en allemand, anglais et français.
Si le projet fonctionne:
- Etant donné le temps nécessaire à la préparation et à la production, le livre sera produit durant le premier trimestre 2015.
- Les cartes postales et les photographies seront produites en 2014 et je mettrais tout en œuvre pour que les envois soit fait dans la continuité dès janvier 2015.
Que reçoivent les contribuants pour ce projet?
Vous avez le choix : le livre signé par l'artiste, ou une photo imprimée (sur plusieurs formats), ou une photographie de haute qualité encadrée, ou un paquet de 10 cartes postales.
Vous choisissez la somme avec laquelle vous désirez supporter mon projet.
